Saturday evening, August 28, 2021 the stage at the Bartlett High School Auditorium in Anchorage was packed with friends and family members as women from across Alaska competed for the title of Mrs. Alaska America AND the Miss Alaska For America.

 

This year's "theme" was Denim and Diamonds.  The ladies shared their sparkly and fun side during a fabulous on stage production Number. 

 

The ultimate prize and title of Mrs. Alaska America 2021 went to:

 

Our newly crowned Mrs. Alaska America is Melisa Behrendt, wife of Josh Behrendt.  Melisa leads an outreach ministry to military families.  They make their home on JBER and have been married 16 years and have two daughters.

 

Our newly crowned Mrs. Alaska AmeriCAN is Jamie Lytton, married to Travis.  Jamie is a Physician’s Assistant with Neuroversion.  Jamie lives on JBER.

 

Our new Miss Alaska for America is Mary Mitchell from Anchorage.  She is a speech language pathologist specializing in dyslexia and early intervention.

 

They will be on their way to the Mrs. America Pageant and Miss for America Pageant at the annual National Competition in November  in Las Vegas.  Additionally they will be making personal appearances throughout Alaska during her year’s reign.
