Passing the Torch: A New Chapter Begins
Mrs. Alaska America is proud to announce Stanley and Shayné Wright as the new Alaska State Directors for Mrs. Alaska America and Miss Alaska for America Strong, beginning a new chapter for a program that has celebrated Alaska women, family, service and sisterhood for decades.
The transition follows approximately 30 years of leadership by mother-daughter team Rita Corwin and Christy Snoddy, who directed the Alaska program together and helped shape its longstanding traditions. Beginning in 2020, Christy and her husband, Amos Snoddy, continued that legacy as directors. Now, after three decades of family stewardship, the Snoddy family is passing the torch to the Wrights.
